Accessibility statement
Last checked 1 October 2026
We want every parent, carer and teacher to be able to order labels from Scribble Tags, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That means, for example, that you should be able to:
- use the whole site with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline showing where you are
- zoom up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
- use a screen reader, with headings, labels and descriptions that make sense out of context
- read text with enough colour contrast, and never rely on colour alone
- tap buttons and links easily, with targets at least 44 pixels across
- turn off animation with your device's reduced motion setting
How we check
- Every public page is tested automatically against WCAG 2.2 AA whenever the site changes.
- We check new pages and features by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Our colours were chosen to meet contrast requirements before the site was built.
What we know is not perfect yet
- Moving the crop box on the upload page is easiest with a mouse or touch screen. The zoom slider works with a keyboard, and if cropping is difficult you can email us the photo and we will set it up for you.
- Some product pictures are illustrations while we take photos of the real items. Each has a text description.
